Jewel's second major release on Atlantic records, includes 13 tracks plus one bonus track at the end of the CD "Little Bird" sung by Jewel and her mother Nedra who used to sing it to Jewel before bed. This album is a lot different from "Pieces of you" which is more of a novelty album. Released in 1998, Jewel quickly began promoting the album with a number of singles including "Hands" "Jupiter" and "Life uncommon" Jewel dedicates this album to her mother, best friend and partner, Nedra. The track "Deep Water" was dedicated to her fans in a recent letter to them.
